Production information:
Vanadium diboride (VB2) has a hexagonal crystal structure with high melting point (2980°C), high hardness, good oxidation resistance (1000°C), and resistance to molten metal corrosion. It can be used to make ultra-high temperature structural materials and has important applications in extreme environments such as ultra-high temperature and metal smelting. In addition, as an electrode material for alkaline batteries, VB2 has a large discharge capacity and is a new type of energy material.
